Indonesian representatives from the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) visited some offices of Tarlac State University-Main Campus for an internship and benchlearning activity today (March 15).
This is the delegates' second day at TSU under the International Inbound Staff Mobility Program spearheaded by the International Affairs and Linkages Office (IALO).
The ITS representatives underwent an immersion with the Human Resource Development and Management Office (HRDMO), Facilities Development and Management Office (FDMO), Administration Office, Supply and Property Management Unit (SPMU), Records and Archives Unit (RAU), Procurement Unit, and the Mechanical Engineering Department under the College of Engineering and Technology (CET) to learn their operations and how they perform in the university.
Ms. Novi Elyka Soundaque, HR Development and Evaluation staff of ITS, visited the university's HRDMO where they tackled the recruitment process, Daily Time Record (DTR) management, training assessment, and the process of evaluating the employees' performance.
Meanwhile, safety and pollution control matters, material recovery facilities, and completed and proposed infrastructures were discussed in Ms. Indah Michelia's office visit with the FDMO.
She also dropped by the Civil Security Unit and Motorpool Unit since the position she holds at ITS concerns logistics and security.
Under the RAU, ITS lead representative Mr. Dony Kusuma Hadi learned about TSU's management of logbooks and record inventories, as well as the university's history.
He also visited the SPMU and Procurement Unit to explore TSU's bidding and disposal planning and processes for the university's properties.
Moreover, Chief Administrative Officer Ms. Winniefe F. Gutierrez, Mr. Hadi's counterpart, discussed TSU's organizational chart along with the duties and responsibilities of employees.
Mr. Hadi also had his turn to share their organizational chart at ITS and other applications and systems accessible on their website.
On the other hand, Mr. Saijidin, a laboratory technician at the ITS Industrial Mechanical Engineering, had the chance to share learnings and best practices with TSU's Mechanical Engineering Department. He experienced using the machines at the CET laboratories.
The internship and benchlearning sessions with the partner university will continue tomorrow (March 16) marking the final day of their visit to TSU.
